AWARE Wildlife Rescue

AWARE Wildlife Rescue is a volunteer-run organisation providing rescue and rehabilitation services for injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife throughout Frankston and surrounding suburbs.

Operating through a 24-hour emergency hotline, AWARE’s trained volunteers respond when native animals are injured, displaced or found without appropriate care. Rescued animals receive treatment, specialised foster care and rehabilitation, with the goal of returning them safely to their natural habitat whenever possible.

The organisation also helps the community understand what to do when encountering wildlife in distress and promotes practical ways to protect animals living within suburban environments. Through education, membership and volunteer opportunities, AWARE encourages more people to become involved in the care and conservation of native species.

AWARE is entirely operated by volunteers and relies on donations, memberships, fundraising and community support to continue providing its wildlife rescue and rehabilitation services.
