Friends of Belvedere Bushland Reserve is a volunteer group helping to protect and restore this important pocket of remnant bushland in Seaford.
The 7.5-hectare reserve contains Sandy Heath, Heathy Woodland and Swampy Woodland vegetation, providing valuable habitat for indigenous plants and native wildlife. Its sandy walking tracks and spring wildflowers offer a glimpse of how this part of Frankston may have looked before urban development.
Working alongside Frankston City Council, volunteers help care for the reserve through activities such as weed removal, indigenous planting and bushland restoration. New volunteers are welcome to contact the group for current working-bee details.
