Friends of Wallace Reserve

Friends of Wallace Reserve is a volunteer community group dedicated to protecting and restoring the reserve’s indigenous bushland and important wildlife habitat.

Established in 2005, the group brings local residents together to undertake practical conservation work, including indigenous planting, revegetation, environmental weed removal and ongoing bushland care. These activities support the natural regeneration of native vegetation, improve habitat for local wildlife and help preserve the reserve’s biodiversity.

The group’s regular working bees give community members an opportunity to make a practical contribution to their local environment while learning more about indigenous plants and the animals that depend on them. They are also a welcoming way to spend time outdoors and meet others who share an interest in conservation.

Working bees are held on the third Sunday of each month from 9 am to 11.30 am, excluding January and December. New volunteers are welcome, and no previous conservation experience is required.

Friends of Wallace Reserve is a member of the Frankston Environmental Friends Network, connecting local volunteer organisations working to protect and care for Frankston’s natural environment.
